Hola! (I really hate hellos. They're awkward as anything) Now that we've gotten through that...I'm Sylvia, 18, amurrican (but I live in straya, the land where everybody likes to workout and eat healthy, but let's not stereotype (p.s. betcha thought it was the land down unda, you'd be wrong)), and I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was 10 years old.

Ever since I was a little tyke, I've been completely obsessed with taking pictures of everything and food has always been my true love. Only recently have I managed to dump junk food and start up a loving relationship with healthy food, which has significantly improved my "brittle" diabetes (brittle meaning my blood sugars are extra hard to control). I've been really agitated that I had never come across information specific to diabetes and weight loss and food sensitivities.

So, I decided to start up this blog to share what I've experienced through experimenting with plant-based eating. It's been pretty awesome. But of course, I'm also a big fan of food and I hope that even if you're one of those normal people without a diagnosis you're lugging around that you'll be able to find stuff (like recipes, cause FOOD IS EVERYTHING) on here that's for you. (I'm gonna spare you the awkward goodbye. ;) You're welcome)
